I have been very much neglecting my blog.
It’s been a crazy few months…and I’ve had a lot going on. I’ve seen some of y’all there, and others not quite as much. I miss you. Hell, I miss ME. But…as I gear up for the next tour I feel like I have to recap the months since the last time I blogged heavy in November.
You’ll see a significant drop off after the death of my mother. To say I’ve been grieving is an understatement. I threw myself back into my work right away, but I’ve been brutally depressed since then. I cry every day now…but before you call whine-one-one for my wahmbulance, know that HOSPICE SAID IT WAS OKAY! As evidenced in the pamphlet they sent me.
Anyway…
Though I will forget SOMETHING, in the past few months I have:
* Set up and executed a live audio/video recording of the latest TickleBomb Orchestra lineup. For now, we have one old favourite and one new song (improvised the lyrics that night, actually) available for your viewing pleasure. Expect the end result to be even MORE dope.
* Revamped http://www.TickleBombOrchestra.com
* Made it so that http://www.shanehallmusic.com exists to support my solo efforts
* Done a light show for a spoken word artist and a black metal band
* Written a few new tunes, one of which can be found on this here blog. :)
* Played some GREAT shows with Sound in Stone, including a webcast for a Portuguese radio station
* Spent New Year’s Eve singing Type O Negative songs. Hahaha
* Saw B.Dolan’s Church of Love and Ruin shows, which were hosted by Jaime and Sissy DeWolfe
And it’s only fucking FEBRUARY!? 2011…even though there’s a few people missing in my life that I’d really want there, I really like you already.
